The range of sensors available is much wider than with most others. You might normally expect to have motion sensors linked to the cameras perhaps, and magnetic sensors on the doors and windows. However, the Hawkeye™ system take the concept of home security much more seriously, and includes a range of features to be able to monitor the risks to your property that are not represented merely by a break-in. For example, there are sensors to detect gas leaks, excess carbon monoxide, flooding, loss of power or loss of phone line. Should any of these sensors be triggered, then Hawkeye™ would immediately alert you through whichever means you choose – either landline, mobile or email – to make sure that you are aware of the issue immediately, regardless of where you happen to be.

However, the real advantage of this remote security system is not merely that it is exceptionally good at reporting a problem should one occur, but in helping to prevent an emergency or a security issue in advance. At any point, you can override or change the sequence by either accessing the secure web page or sending instructions by phone or mobile, to ensure that the property does not look too regulated and predictable. Not only that, but imagine being able to turn the heating or air conditioning on the day before you are due to fly out there, so that you can enjoy comfort from the first moment you arrive!

With up to 2 external sirens, a full display with voice guidance to help you get the system working quickly and easily and up to four separate remote video cameras, the Hawkeye™ is ready to protect your home with the minimum of fuss. This applies to the installation since almost the entire remote home security system is wireless. This means that you can alter the layout or position of your cameras, increase or decrease the use of sensors, or even transfer the system to another property.

There are two backup systems to ensure smooth and seamless operation regardless of either loss of power of loss of landline as a result of accident, emergency or deliberate sabotage. In order to ensure the system runs smoothly without mains power, backup power is provided from rechargeable batteries which activate as soon as mains power is lost. Additionally, if the landline is unavailable, Hawkeye™ will switch to using the mobile GSM network to ensure messages are still able to reach you, and it is still capable of receiving instructions. Should either of these eventualities be required, you will of course be immediately alerted.

Once you are back at the property yourself, the home security can be altered to work with you as it provides a range of features to provide peace of mind during your stay. With the remote automation of appliances no longer an issue, you can simple arm or disable the system using key fobs or remote devices, and should you forget to do this, the Hawkeye™ system will automatically activate and protect your property for you.
